She wanted a simple freestyle filigree piece shot in the dusty atmosphere. This is one shot from that day, there will be more. We climbed on top of our friend’s RV and watched the Temple fall from a crowd free distance and that is how we finished out our Burn. We found a fire installation and warmed up a bit and reflected on our moments out - exposed - together and continued our journey to camp where warm clothes and a hot meal waited. When the sun finally cleared the mountains and she began to shiver we packed it up, rode through a white out, headed in the general direction of home. I finish painting and set up several shots. We painted in clear skies and in the middle of whiteouts with only her robe and my body to hide behind when it got real bad - “let’s keep going.”, she says. And with each brushstroke, you could literally see the chills running across her skin. My makeup was drying faster that I could apply. Theyre lightweight to hang on the wall, durable to use as a tablecloth and vivid colors make it an eye-catching.US41. It was only getting colder as the sun lowered itself in the sky. The wind was blowing the hardest it had blown all week and it was the coldest day. We went out on the deep playa, past Temple and it was almost empty. I got to paint my favorite canvas, my lovely wife. We waited all week and spent the day to ourselves.
